oh a camping we will go!

Earlier this month we went on a camping trip with two other families. With a total of 6 adults and 8 kids (two of whom were just over a year old), we made our way to Carpenteria State Beach for three fun filled days of camping.

Our friends first approached us about this trip when Bethany was still in Korea so I was understandably hesitant to commit, not knowing how her transition would be. I'm so glad we decided to go because it turned out to be great. We (especially the kids) had a wonderful time and have already made plans to go again next year.

Our home for the next three days.

Poor Sam had to work.

There was no shortage of fun for the kids as they busied themselves on the beach,

caught fish,

played games,

and took turns in the wagon.

Fortunately for us parents, hours of fun meant that eventually, hours of sleep would soon follow.

We couldn't leave without trying to get a few group shots but there was usually one straggler crying or looking away. :)

Finally! :)
Until next year!

The beach is beautiful. It looks like Austin will be able to provide food for dinner from now on.
