Happy New Year 2012!

I realize I'm a little late with this, but here's wishing you all a blessed year in 2012!

May it be filled with lots of

LOVE

and

LAUGHTER!

These are the hanboks Bethany's foster mom sent in the famous Holt blue bag. It fits her perfectly now. :)

Austin's hanbok was a bit too short on his arms and legs, so this will probably be the last you'll see of him wearing it. :(

My parents came over for brunch and we did the traditional seh-beh with them.

We didn't have to ask Austin twice because he knew what was coming.

Cha-ching!

Bethany had no idea what was going on, but you know her. She wants to do everything her big brother does. :)

Cha-ching!
Good thing my parents only have two grandchildren. :)

And yes, even Sam and I took part. Anything to increase our cash flow! :)

Hope everyone had a wonderful New Year's Day!

Happy New Year! 2011

The first day of 2011 began with my parents coming over and preparing a delicious Korean meal for us with all the usual fixings. After filling our bellies, the kids wore hanboks given to us by Bethany's foster family.

Austin was the first and most eager to take part in the traditional seh-beh while Bethany tried to follow as best she could.

Daddy tried to help Bethany,

but she preferred her own version of seh-beh.

This is what happens after a full belly, playtime and a skipped nap.

In the afternoon, we headed over to the cemetery to pay our respects, and then returned home for some more family time, and yet another feast prepared by my parents for dinner.

2010 was a year of such wonderful blessings for our family and I can't think of a better way to have started the new year than to have spent it with those who mean the most to me.
(Good food and seh-beh money didn't hurt either.) Just saying. :)

May 2011 be filled with many wonderful blessings for you and your loved ones!

Happy New Year! 2010

I'm not so much a New Year's resolution type of girl, but one thing I hope to do in 2010 is return to the world of blogging. Sadly it's been over a year since I've blogged on Xanga and I have Facebook to blame for it . All I can say is, "Facebook, I shake my fist at you!" ;)

Having learned the error of my ways, I've decided to go for a brand new look on a brand new site. I'm looking forward to recording our many life adventures here and hope my blog will be happy in its new home.

And now, let the adventures begin!

We celebrated the start of 2010 with friends from church and woke up early the next morning to go see the Rose Parade. Every year our family has gone to see either the building of the floats or the post parade viewing but this was the first time we went to see the parade. It was a lot of fun and I think something definitely worth doing.

Ringing in the new year with the breakfast of champions - donuts!

Who knew LAUSD had a marching band?

After the parade we went to my parents' house and as per tradition, did seh beh and ate dduk gook. In the evening, we also went to Sam's side of the family and had our second helping of dduk gook. Yum!

Austin has gotten quite good at doing seh beh and is happy to report that the current recession did not affect his seh beh earnings. Cha ching! ;)
